I sent an image of the mods I am using.Ĭlick to expand.I have moved all my mods there (the one in my image is just a backup in Documents), and when I downgraded Starbound, it claimed that the mods were active, yet neither my save file nor the other modded races come up, and I have also copied and pasted my backup player and universe into the storage folder. I do not know how to fix these issues, I really wanted to enjoy these mods and only got to use them for a mere day before Steam decided it was gonna update the game without my say-so and render the mods useless. But it does let me launch the exe from within the folder even after I log off and exit Steam. When I replaced the win64 file in Starbound folder with the download_depot win64 file and altered the appmanifest acf file to keep Starbound from being updated by Steam, the Starbound exe in the folder won't be launched by Steam.
Also Starbound previous versions will not launch from Steam. I am at a loss, I do not know what to do, and it seems my save file is lost forever.
After going for several of the versions before that, the mods and save file STILL will not work. I used the download_depot method on the Steam console to download the previous version of Starbound so I could enjoy the mods longer, but the mods still would not work and my save is still inaccessible. It forced me online anyway and updated, then the mods didn't work and my save was inaccessible. First it started when I just recently started playing the game with mods enabled, and Steam suddenly patched the game when I least expected it, even when I was offline.
